Our Story 

Zynga was founded in 2007 with the mission of connecting the world through games.
Zynga changed the game forever with broadly popular games like FarmVille, Zynga Poker, Draw Something and Words with Friends, which are played by hundreds of millions of players each and every month. Every day we strive to create the best games for people everywhere to play together crafted by teams of passionate game gurus, visionary creatives and virtuoso engineers.
Our company logo is a faithful rendering of CEO Mark Pincus's now immortal dog Zinga, an American Bulldog. Around the company and San Francisco, Zinga was legendary for her human-like qualities. She liked to sit on chairs and eat dinner the table. She would jump up on barstools in the Mission District and sit in the audience with Mark at conferences. She is our inspiration because she liked to be in the center of the the action, she was playful, loyal, and a lovable, good soul.
So with Zinga's warm spirit as our guide, we promise to keep making the games you love. And we promise to continue bringing you fun new games – challenging experiences with awesome players and game play.
